CAMPAIGN :

Workplace Activator Programme

At Central YMCA, I developed a brand new programme to support employees of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs). It involved training up Workplace Health Champions and providing them and their work colleagues with a wide range of support – including free and discounted access to Central YMCA’s state-of-the-art fitness facility, dedicated exercise classes, access to a specially created online portal, and a wide range of challenges to keep people motivated.

To make the programme happen, I secured funding and developed a partnership with the University of Westminster. Then, I led on all elements of the programme - such as recruiting companies to take part, and overseeing the team who would deliver the intervention.

The results were evaluated by the University of Westminster over 12 months and found sustained improvements in employee health and wellbeing, which in turn fed into a more productive workforce.

Only Joking!

Just a snap of me and my No. 1 fan (a.k.a. my lovely mam, Irene) living it up on the 'Costa del Newcastle'.
